Communication - Solitude
By daniel | March 7, 2005
This is the sixth in a series of essays based on my reading of The Revolutionary Communicator, by Jedd Medefind and Erik Lokkesmoe.
Solitude
Solitude brings the fuel for the saint. Note that solitude is not time alone — God is present, and is even more perceptible when the outside world must be calm. Jesus' time alone was always critical, and He clearly saw it as very valuable. Luke says, “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
Solitude doesn't leave room to doubt God. You are alone, and if you are willing to ignore the distracting business in your head, you just may hear Him.
This chapter in the book was much shorter than other chapters in the book. I will put up several quotes that I really like as separate posts.
These are just a few thoughts, as we seek to actually love each other well, and communicate instead of just passing information.
