Southern Baptist Convention's thoughts on Brian McLaren

Up front, let me say that I don't identify myself with this thing they call the emergent church movement.  That being said, I do pay attention to what's going on there, and do think some valuable things are being said, so I listen and keep my ears open.

In the article I've linked below, the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. gives McLaren, a leader in this emergent church conversation, quite the railing, and the article is clearly written from the perspective of the SBC's Baptist Press.

Interesting read.  You might want to read it, might not — I'm not inclined to throw my opinion on either side, as I tend to lean towards calling the whole article unnecessary.
