Greetings from India!

By daniel | June 24, 2005

Hello everyone!

Well, after nearly 21 hours of actual flying, we finally made it into Mumbai, India yesterday evening.  We've had few incidents and have been taking in, what to most of us, is a completely new culture.  Only two of us have ever been to India before, so as you can imagine we're all a bit wide-eyed (and droopy eyed from lack of sleep at the same time if that's possible).

Bro. James met us at the airport last night and took us to a hotel that wasn't in the original plan, but we all made out fine.  We're in our originally planned hotel tonight.

Bro. Chacko took us to see and visit with the two children's day care centers in town that Lighthouse supports.  We got to share about Jesus, sing, and play with them.  It's truly a blessing and inspiring to see the hearts of the workers, and the hearts of the children who are wanting/willing to hear about Jesus and interact with the Church.

Bro. Chacko, Susan, and family have also been very hospitable in feeding and accepting fifteen of us into their home.  Susan is an excellent cook and the rest are very good at persuading us to turn to gluttony.

We've just begun our work here and all of your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.  We will write again in a few days with another update.

Grace and Peace,

Jacob Bolton, Benjamin Ness (Official Communications Officers), and Team
