I finally made it to my final destination on Wednesday. Since then I've been getting acquainted w/ all the docs, nurses, and workers, and trying to adapt myself to the pidgkin (sp?) language and dialect. I once heard a wise person say “if you hear someone speaking and don't understand a word of it…it's undoubtedly english” This could not be closer to the truth. The weather here is fabulous. Around 75 degrees…but rains every day from 4pm to the next morning. So much for the african tan!

I found an internet cafe in a town about 35 min from the village I'm staying in. The connection is unbelievably slow though. Please tell everyone hello for me and I appreciate all the prayers and emails. So far I've only gotten sick once….I'm sure it will get worse though. I'll try to keep you updated w/ everything once I really get to dig my hands in! Hope everyone is doing well. Please pass this on to whomever asks!
