Joy Williams - Genesis

Joy Williams - I've never heard of her before I listened to this CD, so I really had no idea what to expect. Read on…
Technical: Album art is not my favorite, but it all looks professional. The music sounds good. Everything was put together very well.
Artistic: Style of the music is also really good. Some songs I liked to crank way up, and others, not so much, but it was all very appropriate to the content.
Content: About the content on the album. [Though I said I had no expectations] I think I might have been expecting a different level of thoughts from the CD. Maybe it's just what I'm used to, or maybe this one just didn't hit me very squarely, but I felt as though the content was best aimed at a teenager, probably a teenage girl. Now, I'm not a girl, and I'm not a teenager, so I wouldn't know that for sure. Just the issues presented as the major issues of life sometimes in the songs don't seem to be so much. Just my thoughts. I really enjoyed listening to the songs, though.
Favorite Parts: Stay, Say Goodbye, I'm in Love With You
