Don't Waste Your Cancer
By daniel | February 15, 2006
John Piper wrote this article a few days ago, on the night before he went into surgery to correct prostate cancer. I read through it once, and thought, "if I was sick, these are things I would need to hear." But I don't think our best learning from this is so much about being ill, as it is learning to see the picture that is bigger than my picture. I'm not sick (at the moment), but let me encourage you to read his article as soon as possible. Be warned, he pulls no punches and isn't going to baby us. But I can't help but notice his aim is dead-on, and his way of looking at the world will help take us to a larger perspective than us and our individual "stuff," whatever our stuff may be.
