Peru 2006: Coming Home Soon
By daniel | July 28, 2006
yesterday was a great day here. we split up into 4 groups and went out to 3 different villiages. the fourth group stayed at the house. trevor and i went to a villiage that had almost never been reached before. the hermono had only been there one time before. the road to that particular town had just been made so we were able to ride in brads truck instead of mula. there were over 50 poeple there young and old in a villiage of aound 1000 poeple. they were very attentive and participated and enjoyed the service. then we went to meet up with julie and gary and the brothers working in their villiage. they were finishing up a bible study. we all slept there (or tried to sleep). it was nice and warm in our sleeping bags and better than i think what most of us expected. in the morning we went to get karen and richard in their villiage where they had also spent the night. i heard they had a big childrens service there and it went well. today we rested up and did some shopping (those of us who returned from the villiages) while the others continued some house projects. i dont think i mentioned that one ministry they have here is a childrens home. it is for children who dont have school in their villiages and live here durring the week and then go back to their villiage for the weekend and vacations. tomorow is their independence day so today we had to say goodbye to all of the children who will be leaving for their villiages at 2 in the morning tonight. it was very sad for me and i don't even know them that well. tomorow we are going on a nother trip. we will be going to one town and participating in their meeting in the evening and staying htere. in the moring we will be going to sunni which is the highest city we will be visiting to work. please pray for eveyones health this day. then we will come back sat night to be at the service here on sunday moring. thats all for now keep us in your prayers.
