Fate of the Dead in Christ

By daniel | March 13, 2006

I was just reading this morning, and Paul wrote it in order for us to comfort each other in the repeating of it.  Please read.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.  And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

There are a few things I hope you can come away fromt his with.  First, what Paul intended, let us not see death as such a final thing.  Certainly Christ has defeated death.  Second, I hope you look forward to seeing the Lord Jesus.  Third, I hope reading this can help you keep in mind your love for Him and His for His Church (of which you are a part).
