Immigration/Population in the US

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Before I get lots of nasty letters saying, 'Where's my water buffalo' and 'Why don't I have a water buffalo', let me put a disclaimer:  This issue is very politically charged, and emotionally involved for many.  I'm not taking any sides here, or necessarily agreeing with any or everything this man says.  I just found […]

Piper: When Is Abortion Racism

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

John Piper, 1/21/2007:

I know that I am talking mainly to a white audience. But not only. Word spreads. One person could make all the difference.
O that the murderous effect of abortion in the Black and Latino communities, destroying tens of thousands at the hands of white abortionists, would explode with the same reprehensible reputation […]

When the call came out to send help to the hurricane victims in Mississippi and Louisiana, we wasted no time in sending our very best to help out.  Here's Jacob displaying his unquestionably incredible strength, helping with an air conditioning unit.

Tuesday, February 14th, 2006

CLEWISTON — Hurricane victims who wanted water had some difficulty finding it at a relief station in Clewiston Friday. The volunteer group running a supply center doesn't like the company that donated the water, so they decided not to give it to those in line […]

Being Poor

Tuesday, September 6th, 2005

I ran across this today, but let me warn you — this will break your heart, thus it is not for the faint of heart or fragile of emotion.
Being PoorOne of the other blogs posted this comment about it, and i agree: You know that involuntary little sharp intake of breath that we sometimes experience […]

Flooded New Orleans via Satellite

Wednesday, August 31st, 2005

New Orleans from space.  I've circled the greater New Orleans area in red for perspective.  The important thing to note is the bluish tint over the land in that area, which indicates flooding.  From this view, it looks like most of the city is underwater.  The image came from the USGS LandSat project.
